Be smart about recruitment in 2017

It has been a positive time to do business in Northamptonshire over the past few years, so it’s not a surprise that ACS Recruitment are having their best year of trading since they were established in 2011.

Specialising in commercial office based roles, both on a permanent and temporary basis; along with supplying some of the largest warehouses in the county with a flexible temporary workforce gives the team a good handle of where our county's employment status is at.

It seems clear that there is an appetite for growth within the business community and companies willingness to increase headcount is apparent. A notable stumbling block that many businesses experienced for a large period throughout 2016 was the lack of suitable candidates.

Chris Wright of ACS recruitment commented “Ensuring that we manage our customer's expectations on the current market is key, we always want to ensure that we keep up with our prided reputation of delivering on our promises to our customers”.

It is clear that attracting new people to Northamptonshire is key to the continued success of our businesses. Housing projects and a well managed Brexit should ensure that we can continue to have a thriving business community.

Having a clear recruitment and workforce strategy is advised, in a candidate driven market they hold all the cards. Candidates have the the pick of the jobs and packages, sometimes only staying on the market for a matter of hours.

Many businesses are increasing their financial packages to ensure they are competitive within the local area, other benefits should also be considered to make the decision for working your business easier.
